Customer Reviews
Consistent quality, reliable shipping
This was my third time ordering from Sven Nieger, and like before, the experience was great. I got the Probierpaket this time, which is a nice way to try different things. Their Baden wines are consistently high quality. I've ordered the Spätburgunder before, and this batch was just as good. Shipping was about the same as my previous orders, around 5-7 days to the East Coast, and the packaging is always secure. I keep coming back because I know what to expect, and they always deliver good wine without any fuss.
Quick delivery, good wine
Ordered some Gutswein. Arrived in 5 days. Wine was good. No issues with payment or delivery. Happy with the purchase.
Good Pinot Noir, careful packing
I ordered a bottle of their Pinot Noir and the Varnhalt Riesling a few weeks ago. The ordering process on the website was pretty straightforward, I used PayPal at checkout. Delivery took about 6 days to get to my place in California, which was decent for international shipping. Everything was packed really well in a sturdy box with good inserts, so no breakage. The Pinot Noir was quite good, very smooth. The Riesling was a bit drier than I usually prefer, but still a quality wine. I had a quick question about storage, and their customer service responded to my email within a day, which was helpful. Overall, a solid experience for getting some German wines.
Really enjoyed the Riesling
So I decided to try some German wine and picked up their Riesling Kabinett. It was pretty easy to find on their site, and checkout wasn't a hassle. The package showed up maybe a week later, and everything was packed super snug. The wine itself was really nice, had a good crisp taste. Felt like a solid purchase, definitely glad I gave it a shot.

Does Sven Nieger ever do sales beyond the free shipping stuff? Like, actual percentage off codes?
I'm thinking about getting some of their Pinot Noir. How does it compare to, say, Weingut Kopp's Pinot?
Are these wines actually from Sven Nieger's own vineyard, or do they source grapes from other places?
What's the deal with their 'unfiltered' wines? Is that just a trend or does it actually taste different?
Can you use more than one discount at a time? Like if I have a newsletter code and there's free shipping?
